i went to ecc comic-con today and got to meet andrew hussie
but the only signable thing i had with me was a scott pilgrim book
it was a great moment
That picture is what they put in the dictionary next to the definition of ‘Unnecessary’.
lol what a tool
I’m so sorry Brian O’Malley, your amazing book has been tainted. Hussie you fucking idiot…
“Homestuck is better.”
That’s why his story was able to actually get published right? And have a second colored print come out right? And get a movie right?
What happen to respect from artist to artist?I still can’t fathom why that fucking series has as many fans as it does. I’ve tried on like three occasions to get into and every time I give up. Sorry Bryan Lee O Malley. You’re a really cool humble dude and this was really disrespectful. P.S. Hussie your art work ain’t all that great.
Okay, seriously? People will look for any reason to rip on Andrew Hussie because Homestuck. THIS. IS CLEARLY. A JOKE. I seriously doubt that Andrew Hussie is legitimately insulting Brian Lee O’Malley’s work. This, to me, is just haters of Homestuck trying to find reasons to bash the creator. I could be wrong, but I wouldn’t doubt it. I love Scott Pilgrim, I enjoyed every book, and I’ve read homestuck, and I enjoy that immensely as well. I think all these complaints are ridiculous. Now, if you dislike homestuck, FINE! I won’t bash you for it or any of that nonsense, but STOP MAKING THOSE WHO LIKE IT, and the creator of it, out to be horrible horrible people who think their better than you. Sheesh.
i’m pretty sure that hussie and o’malley are friends too. even if hussie said that to his face, it would just be a playful jab between buds
you jerks need to calm the fuck down
Didn’t O’Malley draw Aranea and Vriska once tho.
this is a really obvious joke
and people are too fucking stupid to see that
seriously

‘Scott Pilgrim’ Guy Interviews ‘Homestuck’ Guy: Bryan Lee O’Malley On Andrew Hussie
By Bryan Lee O’Malley for ComicsAlliance
MS Paint Adventures began as a weird webcomic where reader suggestions dictated the action every day, leading to predictably silly ends. Creator Andrew Hussie ran several stories there in the guise of old pictorial text adventure games (think King’s Quest, if your memory goes back that far). In April 2009, three days after concluding the epic detective story/game Problem Sleuth, he jumped right into his current project: Homestuck. That’s when everything started to change.
Homestuck is about four 13-year-old internet friends trying to play a computer game that will either save or destroy the world. It is sprawling and complex, dumb and hilarious, and full of the most fiendishly intricate references to the basest turds of pop culture. It’s about the internet — cliques and fandoms, the good stuff and the icky stuff. In Hussie’s own words, Homestuck is “made of pure internet”.
Oh, and it has easily a million daily readers, raised nearly $2 million on Kickstarter, and is actually really good. I have some experience with weirdly popular youth-oriented videogame-referencing epics (i.e. I created the Scott Pilgrim series), so after plowing through Homestuck (twice!) I set out to ask Andrew Hussie some of the burning questions on my mind.I did a big interview with Andrew Hussie of ‘Homestuck’. Go over there to read it.

Happy Birthday, Scott

photos of me and Edgar Wright, London, August 2010
On august 14, 2010, in Los Angeles, Edgar, Michael Bacall and I recorded our commentary track for the SPVTW dvd. (The day after the movie came out in theaters)
Right after that, we basically got on a plane. When we got to London, the afternoon of Sunday the 15th, suddenly we did a panel and a photoshoot… during the panel they gave us “Edgar Wrightinis” (ie a martini with espresso in it).
So for the photos we were (A) drunk (B) coffeed up (C) extremely jetlagged.
agirlwithhairlikethis: Scott Pilgrim: The 7 Evil Exes Drinking Challenge
How to play: Put in your Scott Pilgrim DVD, Blu-Ray, or whatever you use to watch it. Each drink is meant to be consumed after an ex is defeated. You can either mix drinks before hand, or after you’re finished your current if you’re short on glasses. Overall, the containers needed would be:
- 4 Shot Glasses
- 2 Drinking Glasses
- 1 Double Shot Glass
You can get away with having one of each as well, just making it easier I guess. :P
So onto the drinks.
Matthew Patel - The Fireball
- Captain Morgan’s.
- Top with Bacardi 151
CAUTION! : This shot, CAN be lit on fire. If you decide to do so BE CAREFUL. Originally we had it in the recipe that they needed to be lit, but we had a BIG issue putting them out. For this reason, I heavily advise NOT TO IGNIGHT YOUR SHOT UNLESS YOU ARE 100% SURE OF WHAT YOU’RE DOING!
Lucas Lee - The Grind
- Shot of Jagermeister
- Cup of Red Bull (We used NOS, but traditionally these are done with Redbull)
When Lucas Lee gets on the rail, drop the shot glass into the redbull, and chug. If you don’t finish it by the time he’s KO’d, you need to start over.
Todd Ingram - Fair Trade Blend with Soy Milk
- 1 shot of Vodka
- 1 shot of Bailey’s
- 1 shot of Kahlua
- Mix in Silk Soy Milk. (Chocolate if you want it to look like Coffee)
Roxy Richter - The Sexy Phase
- 1/2 shot of Buttershots
- 1/2 shot of Bailey’s
Ken and Kyle Katayanagi - The Twin Dragons
- 1 shot Momokawa Diamond
- 1 shot Momokawa Pearl
Layer the 2 on top of one and other in a double shot glass.
Gideon Gordon Graves - GGG Bomb
- 1/2 shot Grey Goose Vodka
- 1/2 shot Goldschlager
